Traces of Neolithic migration waves in our genomes...?
I copied this idea from Artemis, albeit in a slightly modified form. For instance, instead of Turks I'm using Armenians. I also removed some of the outliers, like many of the Siberians with clear European admixture. The four reference sets are supposed to show Neolithic West Wave, Neolithic East Wave, Neolithic Wave 2 from Anatolia, and Aboriginal North Eurasian influences, respectively. Honestly, it's impossible to say how accurate that is, and even if it is somewhat accurate, this accuracy is going to vary for individuals. For instance, for many people on the list, the purported "Aboriginal North Eurasian" is really just North Asian, East Asian or Amerindian. However, this small K=4 ensemble of references does a great job at differentiating Europeans with ancestry from north of the Alps and Carpathians - in other words, it's fast but still very informative. So here are the results, in four parts in alphabetical order (for selected European project members only)...
Key: Red = Basque (Neolithic West Wave), Green = Chuvash (Neolithic East Wave), Aqua = Armenian (Neolithic Wave 2), Purple = Nganassan + Dolgan + Yukagir (Aboriginal North Eurasian). See spreadsheet for details.

Edit: The presence of the purple North Eurasian cluster in Southern Europeans is interesting, and too obvious to be just noise. I don't really know what it means, but if I had to take a stab, I'd say it was actually some sort of Neolithic influence in the Siberian references.
